Agrofood, step by step
The Agrofood project was promoted in 1993 by Luciano Minoletti with the goal of creating the first database of Italian food and drinks enterprises.
The first edition of Agrofood Italy diectory had the sponsorship of the Ministry of Agriculture which was added in 1995 that of the Representation in Italy of the European Commission.
The success of the initiative was firstly confirmed by the great attention of the Italian press and subsequently by the Italian Parliament that on December 1997, recognized Agrofood Italy as a public utility instrument..
On 2004/2005, it was verified the feasibility of implementing the Agrofood portal in the frame of the international cooperation and followed the many positive feedbacks, it was developed the Agrofood cooperation project.
