The Agrofood Italy portal (the model) is divided into three sections:
The The agriculture and food database contains the names of enterprises and organizations of the Italian agro-industrial system, divided into: Agricultural producers, Fisheries and aquaculture – Food processing enterprises - Services.
Currently it contains about 26,000 names classified by economic activity according to the Ateco nomenclature, the European classification derived from NACE Rev. 2 (Regulation EC No 1893/2006 of the European Parliament and European Council of 20th december 2006).
The markets section contains the market profiles of Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Japan, Great Britain, Greece, Ireland, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and USA.
The Enterprise Area describes the services that local Agrofood team provides to domestic and foreign users.
The registration to the Agrofood Italy portal is free and open to all Italian agro-industrial enterprises and this feature ensures the permanent database updating and the availability of the enterprises to contacts foreign operators.
